The plan learns your race
Finish three and it stops going on what you told it about your strengths and starts going on what you actually did. If your sled push runs over every single time, the plan starts giving it more time on its own, without being asked. Every other pacing tool hands you the same maths on your fiftieth race as your first.
Your doubles plan is not your singles plan with a smaller number
Singles and doubles, open and pro weights, each with its own target that you set once and it remembers. Doubles splits the station work but not the running, and the plan is built that way rather than just aiming at a quicker time.
A wrong press costs you nothing
Pressed it twice by accident? Take it back. A wrong press mid race is undone in two presses and the clock carries on as if it never happened. Race intensity hands make this mistake, and it used to cost the whole session.
The race saves itself to Garmin Connect
Cross the line and the activity is already there, every run, every station and every transition recorded as its own lap. Take it into whatever you already use to pick over a race. Abandon mid race and nothing is saved, so a bad day never muddies your numbers.
See whether you are actually getting better
Every race is kept with its splits, and your best time for each category sits on the opening screen. Delete a junk one and your best time and your plan both recalculate.
Set it up in the car park
Target time, category, and how strong you are at each of the eight stations. Do it on your phone before you leave, or on the watch while you are waiting to be called up.
