Privacy, in plain English
The mailing list
What we collect: the email address you type in, and nothing else.
Why: to send you the Race Time Audit you asked for, and occasional NYVA news, including the day the app goes live.
Where it lives: with our email service provider, on our behalf. The provider is named in the footer of every email we send.
What we never do: sell your address, share it, or spam you.
Leaving: every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're gone, no questions.
Questions: email contact@nyva.fit, or reply to any email we send you. A human reads it.
The watch app
What we collect: nothing. There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics. The app never sends us anything, so there is nothing of yours for us to hold, lose or be asked for.
Your races live on your watch. Your targets, your settings and your saved races are stored on the watch itself. Delete a race from the log and it is gone.
Finished races go to your Garmin account. When you finish a race the app saves it as an activity, exactly like any other workout your watch records. It goes to your Garmin account, under your Garmin login and Garmin's own privacy terms. Abandon a race and nothing is saved anywhere.
Other apps you have connected: if you have linked another service to Garmin, a training platform or a race analysis app, Garmin will pass your activities on to it because you asked Garmin to. That link is between you and Garmin. NYVA has no connection to those services and cannot see them. You can turn any of it off in your Garmin account settings.
What the app asks permission for: one thing, writing activity data, which is what lets a finished race save to Garmin. Nothing else.
Deleting your data: remove a race on the watch, or delete the activity in Garmin Connect. There is nothing to ask us to delete, because we never had it.
